I am an Artist deeply inspired by the ever-changing beauty of the Welsh coastline, the landscapes, and the dynamic energy of the urban environment. Working primarily in oil, I explore the interplay of light, colour and form, creating compositions where bold complimentary hues and abstract shapes take centre stage.

My work is driven by a fascination with the emotional resonance of colour and the way it can evoke memory and atmosphere. Whether capturing the restless energy of the sea, the quiet drama of a storm-lit headland, or the rhythmic geometry of a cityscape, I aim to distil the essence of a scene, rather than merely represent it.

Brushwork and texture are vital to my process – layered strokes and expressive marks build depth and movement, allowing the painting to oscillate between realism and abstraction.

Wales with it’s wild coastlines and shifting skies, provides endless inspiration. The challenge lies not in replicating what i see, but in interpreting it – translating the raw power of nature or unstructured chaos of urban life into vibrant, harmonious compositions. My paintings are as much about feeling as they are about sight, inviting the viewer to experience a place through colour and form rather than strict depiction.

As I continue to develop my practice, I seek to push the boundaries of representation further, experiences with bolder palettes and more distilled geometries while staying rooted in the landscapes that move me.
